Gyokuro Akiyama 5* Green Tea

Gyokuro, meaning "green jewel" in Japanese, is the highest quality tea in the region. It is shaded by 80% for three weeks before harvest. This minimal sun exposure keeps the Gyokuro low in tannins and high in amino acids, resulting in a smooth and sweet taste. Only a few kilograms of Gyokuro are harvested from each garden annually, making it unsuitable for everyday drinking or for quenching thirst or aiding digestion. It is recommended to enjoy it in small cups, savoring the flavor.

Ideal preparation conditions: It is recommended to brew 1 teaspoon (2 gr.) in approximately 250 ml of water at 60°C for 2 minutes.
